I made these squirrel brooches as Christmas presents for my Nana and my boyfriend's Mum. I hope they like them.
-

Print and cut out all the template pieces. You can <a href="http://images.cutoutandkeep.net/cutoutandkeep/pdfs/squirrelbrooch.pdf">download the PDF here</a>.
-

Trace around the body, arms and legs twice on to the light brown felt. Remember to flip the template over before drawing the second shape.
-

-

Draw around the tail and ears twice and the nose once on to grey felt.
-

Cut these out.
To make the rest of the project easier, I used a little bit of glue to stick all the features in place.
-

Sew a brooch back to the back of the squirrel.
-

Sew a black bead on for the eye.
-

Sew around the tail using grey thread.
-

Sew around the rest of the body using a matching colour of thread.
-

Finally sew a wooden bead to the arms, to look like a nut
