Thanks to Cutout+keep I'm on this "doing everything myself" kick. So I went ahead and made her this cake.
I accidently bought pastel food coloring so I couldn't get the red right, and I had a hard time making black for his mouth. But it tasted yummy! and I did it without the help of my bakery :)

The cake is awesome and would not all the more memorable because you made it especially for her.
Anyone can go out and buy a birthday cake if they have the money...not everyone has the imagination, creativity and willing to put for the effort to make it themselves and just shows her that much more how much you love her.
