  • How to make a pin / slide. Sparkly Gemstone Pins - Step 1
    Step 1

Get your sequin and glue it down like so. This should be the easiest part but it took me longer than the other parts because my perfectionist side wanted it right smack in the center of the gem, which is kind of impossible when you have really unsteady hands and you're working with something so small, lol.

Now, stick your rhinestones. You can stick it lined to the square base or in a diamond contrast. I find it easier to use hot glue instead of E6000, cause that thing takes a while to dry.

Cut up small pieces of stiff felt as backing for your gems. Sandwich between the prongs of your bobby pin, glue it right side up to the backside of your gem.

You can make different sizes and mix and match them. Wear one or three on your hair and watch your hair sparkle. :)
