Bedazzle anything!
I revamped an old dress for my formal earlier this year and decided it needed some sparkle. This is super easy and looks great, you can add it to anything and make any size you want. Good for hair clips, headbands, accessories; that perfect touch!

The first few images are done by this tutorial, the smaller bows simply have beads hand sewn individually on the sash, this is a better option if you are doing a small section.
(Time is estimated)

I have uploaded an image attachment of the steps in brief with illustrations.

PREPARATION: Gather your materials, cut one rectangular piece aprox 1cm larger than your desired size on all sides
Cut a second strip (this will be the sash that is beaded)

    Step 1

Fold the large piece in half, right sides together and sew along the outside, but be sure to leave an opening on the top in the middle to reverse the piece.
Backstitch ends to secure and trim corners.

    Step 4

Fold the small strip over the large in the middle section. Pinch the large piece together in the centre to get a nice fold. Sew the small section together ensuring you do not catch the larger piece, backstitch to secure.

    Step 5

Twist the small strip so that the opening on the large piece is hidden and adjust the sides of the bow as desired.

    * This takes the longest but is definately worth it!

Cut your sections of fishing wire (I used this so that the beads would not fall off and they would stay in place).
Secure a knot on the wrong side of the small section and pull the wire through the fabric with your sewing needle.
Thread the beads on one by one until you have enough and then pull the needle through the end onto the wrong side and secure again.

    Step 7

Repeat this process until the entire section is covered. I secured the first few sections in place with needle and thread, but I decided to leave the other layers as the fell nicely.

If you want it to sit flat you simply loop the thread in and out of the beads and through the fabric as necessary.
