Sparkely Peace Necklace

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

    Print out a peace sign from the internet. Then put it on top of your cardboard and cut it out with a craft knife.

    Step 3

    Make up a mix of 1/2 White Glue and 1/2 Water.
    Dip your newspaper strips in and wrap it around your peace sign.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

    Cover it up as good as you can & wait for it to dry .


  5. Step 5

    VERSION #1
    Coat it in glue and sprinkle glitter on top !

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

    Slap on a few coats of varnish . Then you are done with version 1.

  7. Step 7

    VERSION #2
    Start from step #5. Coat your peace sign in a base coat of white paint.

  8. Step 8

    Then paint it whatever color you want.

  9. Step 9

    Coat it in varnish.

  10. Step 10

    Use tacky glue to glue on rhinestones.

  11. Step 11

    Then you are done !!

Those look really cool! I wish I had thought of a different way to make one of these a few months ago, I made a wooden peace sign in woodshop and it wasn't the easiest thing to do. I think I'll totally make one like this though!

well, I learnt that the man who came up with the symbol, thought there would be world peace if all Christians were killed and he went round killing Christians, the symbol is a broken crucifix in a circle.

Ah I see Shivi. It's unfortunate that bad people take positive symbols and turn them into something evil (referring to the crazies that use them and not you of course!).
Just said my piece so ppl who wear them wont worry that they are unknowingly representing hate instead of peace :)
