A dreamcatcher made from snapped guitar strings
Last year after our kid snapped his first set of guitar strings I couldn't just throw them away - they were so gorgeously textured, golden and sparkly. So I decided to make my boyfriend a dreamcatcher out of them for Christmas. I found a tutorial on weaving dreamcatchers online.

I think guitar strings make beautiful golden wreaths too! Especially when they're all bent and twisted with straggly ends.

Great upcycle of old guitar strings and a great modern twist on a historic craft. It is very lovely.
