Reuse, Reduce, Recycle Recon
 <  Image 1 of 4  >

I love the company Lush and I love their products; they are so inventive and unique. However the smell of this solid perfume really doesn't seem right as a perfume to me so I have made it into a room or pillow scenter rather then throwing it away.

The scenter case is crocheted to protect pillow cases and means that the scenter can be hung up in a room while also allowing scent through.

I crocheted this really roughly and made it up as I went along but here is a guide to the pattern:

*Chain 8

*Join to form a ring

*Single crochet (SC) 2 or 3 rounds.

*Chain 3 and SC into every 2nd stitch for 2 rounds.

*SC into every 2nd stitch for 1 or 2 rounds.

*By this point it should be big enough to fit round the perfume tin. Remove the lid of tin, insert the tin into work and continue to SC into every 2nd stitch until the tin is sealed in.

*Pull up 'active' loop and pull out hook, cut off excess wool and tie to create a loop to hang the scenter with.

This was such a fun project - it was quick and easy and now I don't feel bad for not liking this fragrance as solid perfume!

What a great idea! I think you can put tinny soap pieces togehter in it and then you can use them for washing your hands to use them when they are too tinny . Love this, thanks.

aaw you could use an old doily or old lace or fabric cut into a holey pattern and just sew running stitch in a circle, then pull like a drawstring x
