You will love how simple these earrings are to make and how many variations you can make.

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

Get out your supply list and get started. A little tip when working with small lengths of beading wire: Dont cut wire until read to crimp. Just bead right onto wire. It keeps you from having to pickup beads from every imaginable place.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

Once you have all the beads on the way you like for one earring, cut beading wire from spool. Put both ends through the clam shell and the crimp bead.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

Push the clam shell down towards your bead to give you room. Using crimp pliers, crimp the crimp bead onto both wires.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

Use scissors to cut excess wire as close to the crimp bead as possible without disturbing the integrity of the crimped bead. i.e. don't nick or cut the crimp bead once its been fully crimped.

Pull clam shell up around the crimp bead.

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

Insert opening in earring hook through clam shell hook. Once inside use your roundnose pliers to close hook into circle.

    All done!

ahhh.. the clam shell is located near the crimp beads and etc in the craft store :-) sometimes it fold in half over the crimp bead or is called a crimp bead cover. It makes it nice and pretty so you don't have an ugly crimp bead bare.
