for my version, i didn't crease the strips all the way. it was an idea my mom had. they resulting ashtrays looked very very cute and kinda like flowers ^-^ i LOVED this project! very very easy and very fun! with the original version i couldn't figure out how to finish the ashtray, but doing it this way was so much easier to finish it off. just slip the last strip right through the first loop!
