I used a "Peace Tea" can. It's a 16 oz. can and I had no issues fitting the template pieces to it.

I do not recommend using a hot glue gun, because metal conducts heat. Ow!

I used a screw-driver to create the eyes, and dented the face a bit. Next time I'm going to try knitting needles.
