The Joy Of Melt And Pour Soap Crafting
When I first began making what I referred to as Soap-Pops back in 2000, there weren't any molds available that came in that shape. Now it's easy to find inexpensive plastic holds shaped just like ice cream bars and Popsicles. For this three-cavity mold you'll get a double Soapsicle, a flat Soapsicle and a grooved Soapsicle.

  • Step 1

    White soap base

Slice up soap base into small cubes and melt. Just before it's fully melted add colorant/additives. Stir well. Add fragrance. Pour into holds. Spritz away any bubbles with rubbing alcohol. Allow soap to harden in fridge, freezer, or remain at room temperature. Remove from holds. Make sure soap is at room temperature before wrapping. Wrap in cling wrap and label.

  • Step 2

*These particular molds come with room for inserting craft sticks. They can also be made in 3-D, meaning you'll need to buy two of the holds and then clip the holds together during the hardening process.
