Soap Petal Guest Soaps

i used real petals and they turned out fine. the only issue was that at time edges would try to fold together.

Thoughtful idea, i think these would work well for gift too, I'm looking forward to trying this out.

lol I can just see someone trying to clean themselves with real petals! Wouldn't they just rub away, leaving you with pieces of flower all over? hehe so I suppose that would be a good way not to waste the fake petals.. so much for your money though! Roses aren't the cheapest.. unless you have a garden or are a stealer! haha

i have dipped petals in melted candle wax before

Actually, let's think about that. Real rose petals would shrivel and blacken in hot soap, biodegradable paper would disintegrate. Not sure about rice paper, have no experience with it. However, as a matter of fact, these petals hold enough soap for several washings. And you could always rinse them completely out and use them in some other craft, after they are used up.

They're really sweet!... but I'm not a fan of the whole "dispose" part... what about dipping actual rose petals, or perhaps rice paper (or some sort of biodegradable paper?) petals?... hmmmm
