Slave Leia costume <3
I made this costume for Comic-con 2009.
I had to fight my boyfriend to let me out in it but he let me yay.
it was allot of work and detail. more coming soon

You Will Need

Step 1using the tutorial given.
cut out the foam and lightly outline your design that you will be going over with fabric paint latter on. -
Step 2Read This Before you work on the heat shaping of your skirt!
Make sure you are happy with the shape before you work any more on it. as you can see my back part is a bit too flat and it looks funny and bugs the hell out of me. also the hip parts will melt and fall apart fast under heat. it took me 5 times to get two hip rings i liked. -
Step 3still using tutorial.
after using heat to shape your parts use the glue and cheesecloth on the back. -
Step 4still using tutorial.
after going over your outlines with fabric paint it should look something like this. this part can take allot of time to make it look just right. take a brake when you can shaky hands suck for this. -
Step 5still using tutorial.
after painting the in side or your parts and coating things and letting things dry. you will use rub'n'buff. rub'n'buff is messy (look at my fingers) -
Step 6Finish using tutorial. after all your skirt parts are done you will set them aside in a safe fur free place. take the fabric you picked out for your skirt and cut it to the length you want (make sure your happy with how much it will be covering). take your skin tone elastic and wrap it around your hips two times give a little extra and cut. wrap elastic around you twice and pin where comfy then sew. you will need it around you twice so you can attach both sides of your hip rings to the elastic. then sew the fabric around the elastic and try on. then hem bottom parts. after that you want to sew your parts to the skirt. this was kinda hard because the cheesecloth was stiff but i go it on. you might want to try hot glue. same with your hip rings sew the top side to the top band of elastic and bottom to the bottom.

Step 7Now on to the bra. You will need a brown or skin tone bra (I had a skin tone and after adding the gold trim some glue stained and I just painted it brown worked out well).
Take your gold trim and lightly add a few coats of a bronze Acrylic Paint and let dry. -
Step 8use the no sew glue to attach the trim.
then paint brown. -
Step 9after you paint your bra brown add the black string to the bra strap.

Step 10after the bra is done take some rub n buff and make your dog collar gold and then seal with Future No Wax Acrylic Floor Polish.

Step 11ALL done just get some boots and a snake arm band.
