You Will Need

Time:5h20
Nice & Simple
Description 

Once again, I'm completely new to writing patterns so please correct me on any mistakes you see.


Instructions 
  1. 1
    Step 1

    Bag:
    CO 50 sts in MC.

    Knit in garter stitch for 2".

    Bring in pattern in SC.

    Finish pattern and knit for 2" and mark stitch.

    Knit the second side (the length from start to marker).
    BO.


  2. 2

    Straps:

    CO 90 sts in MC.

    Knit in garter stitch for 10 rows.
    BO.


  3. 3

    To Finish:

    Sew a lining pouch out of fabric.

    Sew up the sides of the bag.

    Attach the straps to the bag.

    Sew lining pouch to the inside of the bag.

I'm making this! I've redrawn the chart and added a nose :P I've finished knitting the chart and about quarter of the way through making the back of the bag :D Yay, it looks really cool. i'd love to make a jersey like this ;)

It's called intarsia knitting Elysia. Sometimes it's know as picture knitting too. A useful link for it is: http://www.thedietdiary.com/knittingfiend/KnittersGraph.html which will give you graph paper when you input your gauge (stitches per inch).

what is this kind of knitting with incorporating other designs into solids called? i want to make a scarf with hearts, not skulls, but i dont know what the method is called. can anyone help me please?
