  • Step 1

    Cut your leather into inch wide (25mm) strips, at least 6" long (150mm). Cut the ends square, or rounded off.

    For alternative materials, cut wide enough so you can sew up an inch-wide strip. You want 4 with enough length so you can sew the clips on and have the length you want.

    Leather - Fold over the ends to give an inch on the back and punch a hole for the rivet in each end, through top and bottom.

  • Step 3

    Put the clips on the straps and fold the end back under. Push the rivet through, put the cap on and rivet together. Do the same for all 4 clips.

  • Step 4

    Other Materials - Put the clip on and turn enough under for a good seam. Sew it up neatly :) Repeat for the other clips.
