ok It's kinda like the collage clutch bag tutorial, but this is slightly different....I've not only done this with tissue paper, but done this with those Ikea napkins (with elephants, penguins, and various patterns.)Great to make and can be made to go with any outfit....ok the strap came crooked but it's the tought of the project that conts...>/////<
first we are going to glue the tissue paper onto the construction paper and be careful of air holes...
then you can try to put it into the paper protecter, cut it if it doesn't fit....then put in there.
You can fold it into the bag-like postion but no sewing yet...
Grab the extra tissue paper and a construction paper andcut a wide strip (not too wide and long )Then wrap it onto the folded clutch and see
Then cut off the excess paper...
Now time to glue it to the construction paper
and cut the strip offf
we put that strip into the plastic paper protecter (if need be you can cut off it off it sticks out of the plastic)and put the clutch on top of the strip
This will be the strap...(correct?) and align it like in pix...
when you have it on the angle you want pin it down ...but don't sew it yet we have to sew on the button first...
have the button and a threaded needle at ready and take the bottm of the clutch and remove a pin to have it open and have the knot on the other side...
when your done with that pin and sew the strap down until you get to the edge
you have to cut off some plastic until it if justa flap on the strap...
then use an overseeing stitch (the type that goes in loops...nothing?...google it...)
and overseeing stitch it around...then continue on sewing down the strap...
cleean and done..
~~MANGA~~~BREAK~~~~~
pin the sides together and sew them up...if..theres an open part of the plastic sew it down (except for the opening of the bag...duh...)
next is botton hole making...place the strap down on the button and remember where it is postioned.
oversee-stich the hole so no frays(or such) and you're done!
~~~~~OPTIONS~~~~~OPTIONS~~~~~~OPTIONS~~~~~: -Grab a white construction paper (as the tissue paper portion of this) and draw whatever the hell you want onto it.... -insead of paper and plastic and glue use fleece -use a blanket stitch on some parts...
