On zips thanks to the buttons! super easy and great for using old materials :o) No backing on this but you could add if your fabric is thin.

Find out an old shirt - or head to a charity shop/ thrift store (I bought this for a few pounds - not at all my type but I knew this would look great as a cushion!)
Cut of the sleeves - ha ha this looks like a hawaiian shirt now!
Make a template allowing for 1-2 cm seams all the way round. Tack to the fabric and then cut out. Keep the buttons fastend when cutting. I measured the cushion after buying (I have another shirt to do which is bigger) thankfully this was big enough (keep in mind is buying - I was lucky ha ha!)
Once cut, pin and tack the fabric together "inside out" (buttons on the inside)
Sew alongside your tacks :o)Keep the buttons fastend when sewing
Turn inside out and check the sitching and sizing before triming the seams if needed.
Add your cushion and close with the buttons! Super easy to remove and wash(keep washing instructions from the shirt)
Finito!
