After having so many thread spools rolling around in my drawer I finally came up with an organizer that was built to fit my sewing supplies perfectly. Now everything I need can be found without the hassle.

  1. Step 1

    Step 1: Start off with an empty box that has a depth no more than 3 inches high. The deeper the box, the harder it is to get your sewing supplies.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2: Depending on the depth of your box and how many materials you will be placing in it, the size and quantity of your dividers is completely up to you.

    Step 3: Insert your dividers in the box and hold each divider down with tape.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

    Step 4: Decorate your box with fabric, print paper or anything your crafty mind can think of!

That is such a good idea. I always have a hard time finding an efficient way of storing my sewing supplies but this looks like it would work very well. I am going to have to try making it soon :)
