I thought I'd make a needle and scissors holder after seeing a project here the other day. Fortunately I had some fabric left that matched my pin cushion, and they look really good together. The button and buttonhole tag are optional, and I cut them from an old pair of trousers, sewing the tag in the pocket fold at the side (see photos)

Sew along the bold lines using a straight stitch to create your pockets. Don't forget to sew up the sides of the end pockets! I made a wider pocket for scissors, a few for dressmakers pencils and seam ripper, and a big one for thimble/tape measure. The needles can be kept on the front of the large pocket. The top section folds down as shown to cover the pockets, and the whole thing can then roll up neatly.

I then decorated the roll with the button for closure and added the beads.
