Great for that beginner in the sewing world
A friend of mine just got a sewing machine and thought this would be a cute little gift to help her get started :) have the jars for canning and because the lid is two pieces made it an easy project to add the pin cushion on top. Still have to make up a cute label for it. Very easy to put together and the jar can be reused for other thing like buttons or any other items that will fit. Multi-purpose items are always good gifts :) Just make sure your scrap of material is large enough to be able to stuff and glue to the under side of the lid.
