Show of your diy skills next time you have a masquerade!
Soooo, here's a how to make your very own Selena Kyle Glasses! Be warned though, when I was making this thing I didn't exactly have in mind that I would turn it into a tutorial.
So the pictures that you will be seeing are kind of unclear. (I took them apart and made photo's)

Step 1
Get a pair of Sunglasses and remove the feet, paws(?). Whatever (not a native speaker). Drill a hole about half a cm from the edge.
Step 2
Start turning the glasses into something more Batman-like, by glueing cardboard around the edges. Where the ends of the upper and undersides meet, glue a extra triangle so it appears as if your frame ends in a point (as seen more clearly in the picture above)
Step 3
Add a scope made out of cardboard and glue it on the upper outside of each of the glasses.
Step 4
Paint sticks? why paint sticks?
Because we are going to be clever! (and i did not want to saw my own) The general idea is visible in the pic next to this frame. Get a stick, put on your headband, place the glasses in that U-shape on your head and measure where the sticks would end if you would connect it to both.
Step 5
Drill a hole on each end and repeat with the other stick. Now before you go wild with the spray paint, drill a hole in both side of the headband as well. Connect the glasses and the headband together using a stick and put the screws through the holes. You might end up having to adjust your holes. I did. (twice, oops)
Step 6
Okay, now you can go wild with the spray paint. Just do it outside.
Paint the stick and the lights black. And after that tape them together. I placed the button of the light on the inside. So that, if i pressed on the light it would turn on.
It looks nicer to use pen lights, but i do not live in America so we don't have that here. Bicycle lights ftw.
Step 7
Screw it al together and you are done!
You might need to practice the cool rotating action in a mirror first. That way you know you will have it down when someone ask you what the hell you are wearing.
Just pull up an eyebrow, grab you glasses with both hands, while turning it move downwards and place it on your nose.
Que lights and you will win the costume contest! (I did)
