Second Year College Project (The60's)

My college brief was to create a dress for an red carpet event, my chosen theme decade was the 1960's where I was inspired by fashions, hippies, flower power, the block colours, the passion, the pop arts and deco, prints and wallpapers from the 60's. Anything that could inspire me I used. I used the Internet, i looked through books and through old 1960's magazines for my research. Once my dress was complete it went into an exhibition called cover to catwalk and a professional photographer took photos of it in a photoshoot we had done at college. I enjoyed creating this dress because I love the colour and the feel of the fabric. I put my heart Into making It. My favourite part is the 3D flowers.
