A decorative beach themed incense burner.
I have not yet done this project myself yet but I plan on it soon enough. I'm just using pictures I found online to try to get my idea out clearer.

If you can find a shell that is big enough you could substitute the bowl with a big shell.
You could also probably use small tropical flowers for decoration along with the little shells.

You don't have to do a beach theme either. Maybe a desert theme and plant some cacti in your decorative bowl? It's all about creativity!

Put decorative shells in with the sand to look like it is on a beach. You can also put in small flowers or whatever your imagination can think of. Just be careful you are not putting in highly flammable items for precaution.

    Step 3

Whenever you want to burn stick or cone incense just stick it into the sand. Make sure that the all of the ashes are landing in the sand so that you don't leave such a mess. It's probably a good idea to change the sand every once in a while.

The scent I would recommend while using it would be "Sex on the beach" of course!
