I made this scrub top for my mother's birthday from a t-shirt I brought on Etsy.

The neckline was inspired by a scrub top I saw on Scrubs & Beyond and being that my Mom loved the TV show "I Love Lucy" made it even better. I added pockets and made the sleeves a bit wider then added 50's style ribbon cuffs.

I used a "welt pocket" tutorial by KaylasClothKits (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGJDEhEXZ74) on YouTube to help with the pocket openings.
