Slip Covered 12x12 Scrap Book Paper Holder
I worked really hard on this and I thought it came out pretty cool! First the glamor shot and then 'the story' in pictures.

So here it is, the fabric was leftover from another project. The enclosure is made from two elastic hair bands and wooden beads from my mothers old Campfire Girls necklace she made when she was a kid : ).

The whole project was made as a solution to the fact that I bought this paper holder and then broke the bottom: {

then I used this to fix it
Then it was ugly. I noticed some small holes along the edges and thought I would cover it with fabric ( i realized glue was out so stitching it down seemed to be a good idea).

    When I was done I slipped the pillow cover like end over the curve of the flap, and then stitched the back and front down by coming up through the punched holes along the edges (seen up in the materials shot), and then affixed the beads.

    I slipped one hair tie threw a bead to create two loops one on each side, it was a tight fit so it stays put. I also attached the other two beads by sewing hair tie elastic to the fabric with the bead in the middle.
