Get a burlap sack of some sort, and cut off the bottom. Make it look as rugged as possible; cut off the bottom with a knife and turn the bag inside out.
Using a drawing tool visible on black, (i used a white crayon) draw the details of the mask. You may want someone to wear the sack while you plot the eyes.
Get a knife (with the supervision of an adult) and cut along the drawn lines. Do not cut the stitch marks. Make sure you can see from the eye holes.
Your mask should look like this. Hot glue/sew together the cuts, to make them look frayed.
Paint your sack. Use bland and nuetral tones. I used a mixture of green, brown, tan, gray, black, and white.
Once your mask is dry, weave black string through the bottom line, as if stitching the mouth shut.
