Because pearls and satin are timeless.
Because pearls are totally growing on me...

So, you asked for a how-to... Here it is! It's probably the worst how-to EVER (at least I feel that way). Although this is really simple to make, explaining how to turned out hard. REALLY HARD. Having a crappy cam that only takes crappy pictures also doesn't help.

Anyway, I did the best I could. I hope you'll be able to figure out how to make the necklace out of this crap that I'm calling "how-to".

  • How to make a ribbon necklace. Satin And Pearls Necklace - Step 1
    Step 1

    You'll need:

    (2) 75cm/30" satin ribbon
    Fake pearl beads
    Needle
Some thick thread (I used black crochet thread in the one finished but I'm using red for the how-to - more visible)

  • How to make a ribbon necklace. Satin And Pearls Necklace - Step 2
    Step 2

Measure 18cm/7" from onde of the ends and make a small stitch to join both pieces of ribbon.

  • How to make a ribbon necklace. Satin And Pearls Necklace - Step 3
    Step 3

Now string a pearl with your neddle in the middle of the ribbons.
Just like a sandwich, pretend the ribbons are the bread and the pearl is peanut butter or something.
    Now I'm hungry. How fabulous.

    Step 4

From now on, the ribbon bread slices will be called "thread 1" and "thread 2".

  • How to make a ribbon necklace. Satin And Pearls Necklace - Step 5
    Step 5

Take "thread 1" and pass it on top of the pearl. Run the needle through it. I suck at explaining with words, I know. My bad. Thank God for images!

    Step 6

Now string a pearl. She will be right on top of the delicious bread slice "thread 1".

    Step 7

Now run the needle through "thread 2".

    Step 8

See, this is what you should have.

  • How to make a ribbon necklace. Satin And Pearls Necklace - Step 9
    Step 9

    Thread another pearl.

  • How to make a ribbon necklace. Satin And Pearls Necklace - Step 10
    Step 10

And run needle through " thread 1".

From now on the process is always the same. thread 1, pearl, thread 2, pearl, thread 1, pearl, thread 2, pearl...

You'll be alternating between pearls and ribbon, like a delicious endless sandwich... Mmmm...

Once you've reached the desired lenght, just make a small stitch joining both ribbons, like when you started.
