sand art from salt!
The colored sand is always so expensive in stores and then you don't know what to do with it after you open the bag and it gets all over the place! It's so much easier to use salt! You can also get those shaped glass containers they use at fairs and stuff to make sand art out of the colored salt too!

    Step 2

Pour the amount of salt you want into a bowl or cup. Make sure you don't use something you will get in trouble for ruining! Take the chalk and grind it into the salt. The more you grind, the darker the salt will get. You can use different colors to make other colors (red+blue=purple...etc). Use other cups to make other colors to layer....etc etc.....get creative!
