Salt Glitter

  • Completed Project: Salt Glitter Picture #1

Turn your plain salt in to glitter.

Add to Favorites Add Your Version


  1. Step 1

    Preheat Oven to
    350*
    ***NOTE***
    Salt will NOT Melt But Sugar WILL***
    :)

  2. Step 2

    Ok put a large amount of Salt in a bowl


  3. Step 3

    Mix Food color in it real good

  4. Step 4

    Spread out on cookie sheet and place into preheated oven for 10 minutes


  5. Step 5

    When done Take out and cool
    And Shazam lol you have Homemade glitter :)
    Now go run and make glitter art lol

This is amazing, I've never heard of anything like it. Does it work really well? Is the glitter really sparkly? :)

It is Cat. Jacob did some in dk blue and it came out a pretty soft blue :)

NOTE* The Blue fades, so you might to add several drops of food color,
the red you see came out great

Ohh, i made some dark blue, and some red, and some orange, and when i cooked it i Mixed it all together and made multicoloured :D

You can do it with sugar!
Just add the coloring to some sugar in a bowl, stur and pour it out on a cookie sheet to dry on th e counter.

No, you cant, beacause ive done it and it melted everywhere!! I'll Proove it by putting a photo on soon :l

you can do this with sugar just don't heat it, i used colored sugars for x-mas cakes last year ,just put them in a ziploc bag add a few drops of food colloring work it through the sugar let it dry and they last for a while
