Sailor Moon Cosplay

Cute sailor costume
This was a costume I made for halloween two years ago. I was Sailor Moon from an old anime cartoon. This was simple, but pricey. I bought a white leotard from a dance wear store. Which ran me about $20. I think the red and blue satin fabric was about $50 total. This was because of the bows. I also had to buy interfacing to make sure they would stay stiff all night. As far as the difficulty of sewing, it is very amature-ishly put together. It was the first time I ever had to sew pleats. And none of the seams are finished. The collar took me a while to get to the right size because it was the first time I had ever made my own pattern and I had no guidance there. I still have this hanging in my closet.
