I've always wanted to carve something, and in this DIY I mixed this aim with my interest for nordic culture. Of course you can follow these same steps to create any other carving on stone.

    These are the materials you will need: any kind of oval stone, a pin, a jumpring and a chain.

    You will also need a small drill with any kind of head that allows you to carve stone.

    Start by marking on the stone the rune or any kind of design you want to make. To keep the stone still I'm using some clay.
    Then you want to slowly start carving with the drill what you have just marked, take your time!

    Once you are finished you can paint the inside of the carving so it stands out more. Paint the entire stone and wipe it with a cloth, so the paint only remains in the carved part.

    Then just use the pin and the jumpring to attach the carved stone to a chain and you are done!

I was wondering, did you use Dremel? I have it with the carving stuff and think it might work too... Wink
