This ruffle bracelet is super simple to make and it doesn't take too much time either.
I apologize for the lack of images as far as the steps are concerned. This project wasn't planned...I pretty much just winged it and liked the result. I will try to get pictures next time I make a ruffle bracelet. If anything is unclear, feel free to message me and I'll do my best to explain.

For those of you who attempt this tutorial, please post your own version! I would love to see your ruffle bracelets. :]

  • Step 1

Gather your materials [listed in the summary & notes].

Make sure your soda pop bottle is clean and dry. If there's still soda in the bottle, drink it or pour it out, then rinse the bottle with hot water.

  • Step 2

Using an X-ACTO knife, box cutter, or a pair of sharp scissors, cut the curvy parts of the bottle [the top and bottom] so that you have the middle part left. The thickness of your bracelet is up to you, and it doesn't have to be cut perfectly. I personally like 1" or 1.5" width for my ruffle bracelets.

  • Step 3

Cut several strips varying in width [I used 1/2 strips for mine] from your fabric or ribbon. Make sure they're long enough to tie around the plastic piece you cut from the bottle in the last step. Don't worry that you're going to have too many strips cut, you're going to need a lot. Tie the strips one by one around the plastic piece, make sure to knot them tight.

  • Step 4

Repeat the last step over and over until you entirely fill the plastic piece with strips. Also, make sure to bunch up the strips you've tied on the plastic piece so that any jagged places on the plastic don't cut you.

  • Step 5

Once you've tied all of your strips onto the plastic piece, give your ruffle bracelet a hair cut. You're not going to want three-inch pieces of fabric hanging off and getting caught on everything. My strips hang off about 1.5"
