Ropy Soap!

  • Completed Project: Ropy Soap! Picture #1

Soap, on a rope!

I made soap on a lolly stick earlier and K@ti gave me a great idea, putting it on a rope...but this is with a difference

  1. Step 1

Cut a small section of your loofah, cut it as if you were slicing a cucumber.

  2. Step 2

Next, thread a piece of coloured ribbon or cord through the piece of loofah.

Tie a knot at the top so that you can hang it up when it's finished.

  3. Step 3

Place the piece of loofah in the centre of a square piece of cling film

  4. Step 4

Then take a cup or mug which is bigger than the slice of loofah.

Push it down to the bottom, taking care to keep it central. Make sure the cord or ribbon is hanging over the edge and then wrap the excess cling film around the outside of the cup or mug

  5. Step 5

Cut up the glycerin soap into small chunks, or you can use a food processor.

  6. Step 6

Pop the chunks of soap into a microwaveable jug and find a spoon to stir it with. Melt it in the microwave for about 15-30 seconds

  7. Step 7

Carefully pour the liquid soap into the cup or mug, over and around the piece of loofah.

If the piece of loofah pops upwards, just poke it down again with the spoon.

  8. Step 8

Wait for it to set and then have a bath
