Oh my, that is way too adorable.
I keep looking at it and dreaming of these black sequined chucks I found on freepeople.. they are too rich for my blood.

Thanks for all your comments! :]

ummm approximately 3m of tulle was used, although I bought around 5m just in case... it really depends on how wide you want it to be.

best new take on a tutu, ever! looks like it takes lots less time than the traditional way of making a tutu, and is definitely more fun!

Would i be able to just sew a tutu without getting a skirt?

Emi

Emi

March 5th, 2008 11:36

You probably can, but it just looks nicer and it's easier to make if you have a skirt to start from. :]

About how big where the pieces of tulle you attached?

Emi

Emi

April 5th, 2008 00:32

Reaaallly random. I just ripped pieces off randomly, so some are bigger than others, vice versa.

The randomer, the more volume :D

It sounds amazing but i have a question. When you say 'pin it' whatdo you mean exactly. I want to make it, but i dont want a whole skirt held together by pins...

Emi

Emi

November 16th, 2008 22:53

ummm I'm not sure of the technical term,
but I used whole bunch of dress pins to pin the skirt
into a silhouette I wanted, and once I sewed it in place,
I took the dress pins out. :]

Emi

Be sure to take them all out though...
