  1. Step 1 1

    KNIT
    Hearts
    Thread 14 (16: 18) beads on yarn A.
    Using yarn A and 3.00mm (US 2–3) needles and thumb method, work beaded cast on as folls: cast on 6 sts leaving beads at ball side of these sts, *slide bead up yarn so that it is sitting against the needle, cast on another st making sure that the bead is pushed to the RS of the work (facing away from you) as you put the loop onto the needle, cast on 1 st without bead*, rep from * to * 13 (15: 17) times, cast on 5 sts.
    39 (43: 47) sts.
    Row 1 (RS): Using yarn A, knit.
    Row 2 (WS): Using yarn B, k1, p4, (k1, p1) 14 (16: 18) times, k1, p4, k1.
    Change to 3.75mm (US 5) needles.
    Row 3 (RS): Using yarn B, knit.
    Row 4 (WS): Using yarn B, k1, p4, k1, p27 (31: 35), k1, p4, k1.
    Row 5 (RS): Using yarn B, k14 (16: 18), work across 11 sts from chart, yarn B, k14 (16: 18).

    Row 2 (RS): Using yarn A, k8, sl the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th sts from the RH needle off over the 1st st, k2 (k7, sl the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th sts from the RH needle off over the 1st st, k2)
    3 times, k7, sl the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th sts from the RH needle off over the 1st st, k1.
    (15 sts)
    Row 3 (WS): Using yarn A, knit.
    Break the yarn, thread it through the rem sts and pull up tightly.

  5. Step 5 5

    FINISHING
    Sew in any loose ends on the WS of the work.
    With WS facing and using a pressing cloth, lightly press the wristbands.
    Heart and Studs: Using photograph as a guide, attach two press studs to each wristband.

  6. Step 6 6

    Stripes and Flower: Sew two buttons onto each wristband to correspond with the buttonholes.
    Flower only: Sew a button in the centre of the flower and sew the flower to the middle of the wristband.
