Rock Buddy

Rock n' Roll, babyy.

I have a pet rock,
and his name is Pablo.
He says hi.

This is a tricky project,
you need to be with him 24/7. Your mom isn't going to take care of him. Grow up already!

I did this merely out of amusement. I have a life, you know.

Determine the rock's gender. Just kind of flip him over and take a peek. You don't want to embarrass the dear thing.

Pick a name that everyone will like. If this will be a family rock, make sure to consider the kids' choices too.

Offensive names are bad. YOU wouldn't want a name like "Dumbass" or "Fugly". Be nice.

Pick a name that suits the rock's personality. If the rock is always hiding, maybe he could be "Bashful". Or if your rock is a fighter, name him "Rocky".

Name your rock something unusual. Do not name him after anyone you know. It confuses people.

Try to give your rock a name with two or three syllables, because you will, believe it or not, end up shortening your rock's name.

If you're set on finding a unique name, try searching online.

And finally, pick one name and stay with it. YOU don't go changing your name every 2 hrs, do you?
Make your buddy a house.

You wouldn't want to live on the streets, would you? Find a suitably sized box. Cut off the top, and get creative.
Lay down a cloth then cut off a square piece from an old sock for blankets. Pillows are important too.
Make chairs. Make a basic table by bending down two opposite sides of a rectangle cut deftly from poster-board or other cardboard. Create a jacuzzi/hottub out of a plastic pot and fill it with hot water.
Make a big screen HDTV out of thick cardboard. Unless you know how to wire this thing to enable streaming video, you can just cut out a photo of a particularly good looking guy.
Add beaded curtains made from small glass beads and bean bags made from fabric scraps and cotton balls.

Don't feel discouraged if your pet rock's house doesn't turn out the way you planned. It's better than living in dirt, and your pet rock will appreciate your hard work, no matter what it looks like.

Get your pet rock and take it outside to find some friends. He is oh-so-lonely.

Ask your rock to look around and search for a candidate. Mingle. Don't judge a rock by it's... rock.
Pick the foreign rock up carefully, and invite him to be friends. If he declines, throw him far away. If he say's yes, give him a hug and welcome him to the family.
Invite him to your rock's house and let it have a sleepover with your rock. Let them get to know eachother!
Travel with your rock. Take it places. It needs to see the world! It should be well rounded. =D

i did something like that with a cat picture from a magazine, i made him a house with bed, sand box, and everything, even i made a little yarn ball for him to play :D
