20-minute dress
 <  Image 1 of 5  >

Ok, so it's a very easy, 20-minute dress for all you rockers around the world! ;) Made out of old tee found in a local second-hand shop. I like it short and hot! so men's size S-M was just fine. For longer style search for L and over.

- MOTLEY CRUE!!
- HotMiamiStyles shop

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

First go to second-hand shop and search for nice, big mens t-shirt. I was looking for somethin rock'n'roll and I found this. My boyfriend tried to steal it from me so be careful! ;)

You also need to wash it! you don't want to wear all the chemicals they use before selling it!

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

now take a t-shirt that fits you well and draw it around with white pencil on our new t-shirt. then make it longer so it gets a shape of time glass - I'm petite but the one I drew was almost too tight for me so be careful here! it's better to draw more, you can always sew it different way

    cut it out

it's the only tricky moment - if u cut too much it'll be to small!!! co cut a bit more as in the pic

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

then just turn both sides over and sew it alonge the edge - try if it's ok for you - then sew it once again to secure it

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

    Voila!

I added two long scraps of material from t-shirt to make nice heart-shaped neckline with something extra ;)

thanks!

Candice it's always like that when u look for it - before I got this idea of making clothes from men's tees my boyfriend was always showing me many at second hand, like band tees and stuff, now that I look for it it's all gone!!! ;)

cool. I love buying horror movie tees to do this with, but i cut up and tie up the sides instead of sewing.. (if ur gonna do that by the way pull on the tee fabric to stretch out the bits u'd be tying, makes it look way better n gives more to work with).
Anyways, great job! Looks great on you

how did you get the top to be shaped like that? I would love to know how, the dress looks amazing on you, and I'd love to try making one of my own. A tutorial would be lovely if you had the time to put a quick one up.
