This is what you need: a plain t-shirt; for UK girls dorothy perkins do 2 for £9 which is pretty good or you can use a t-shirt you already have, then some scrap fabric, some lace or trimmings and a template- all you need to do is write on microsoft word your chosen phrase on word out and then cut out...

cut out your fabric using your template and pin and sew to your t-shirt; I did it on the machine because I couldn't be bothered to hand sew though I think it would have looked better if I'd hand sewn so that's what I'll do next time :)

The picture doesn't look great but this is a cool way of updating a boring t-shirt, just get your trimming and pin it to the sleeve and sew- couldn't be simpler!
