This is a project from the stitch and bitch book that reminded me of one of the jumpers River wears in firefly. Pretty simple to make and mohair wool is SOOOO soft :-)

Knitting is fairly easy to learn, in fact the book I got this from has a very easy explanation. Helped me to finally get my guages and tension right! Also, yes River tam is awesome :-)
