I made this set for Amanda in our Doctor Who Swap! I loved it soooo much I debated if I should really send it to her, lol. But then I thought I could always make myself another set :)

For the Book-
The book is just a hardback note book, I painted it blue, then cut out the general design on the book in the show (by looking at pics of it online) I cut the shape out of craft foam, then hot glued it to the notebook. I painted everything blue again, then dry brushed on a darker metallic blue paint, and finally dry brushed on a dark dark blue to make it look worn and dirty.

I used a brown ink pad to color the edges of the paper brown so they look old. Then I drew "Spoilers" and "Allons-y" on the front and back pages just for fun :)

For the Pen-
The pen I made by following a fun tutorial I found online, I linked it in with this project so you can use it too. It was super easy and fun. You just cover a plain pen with polymer clay, in any design you want. I did the 10th Doctor Sonic Screwdriver because that is Amanda's Favorite doctor. I tried to keep the look as close to the real thing as possible, but I had to make it shorter and take out a few minor things. I took out the ink (it was the kind that pulls out from the tip) and baked the pen in the over just like anything else made with polymer clay, then when it was cooled down I glued on a big blue plastic rhinestone to the top and put a glossy cover of diamond glaze over the whole pen.

The both took a super long time, but are totally worth it! They are the coolest thing ever <3
