  1. Step 1

    Step 1

    All you need is :

    a old large t-shirt
    scissors
fabric paint (but I used acrylic)

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

just get an old t-shirt, any colour you wish, the old t-shirt should be large here I have a medium size t-shirt

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

Use fabric paint or any other paint (I used acryllic) and using your hands paint your top with the colours of your own choice. By using your hands it creates a different texture and roughness to the necklush

I used green, black and white

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

cut across (t-shirts waist), using sissors depending on how thick you want your necklush, a ruler width should be your minimum

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

you cut a few centimeters in to your t-shirt

you get hold or the two ends and start tearing downwards towards the other side of your t-shirt

the tearing part enables the necklush to curve/ roll

when you reach the end of the t-shirt, due to the seam you should cut off your fabric with scissors

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

keep repeating this until you reach underneath the sleeves of the t-shirt

you should get something like this....or better

  7. Step 7

    Step 7

however, you the seams are visable so collect the two ends of the fabric, collect them at their seams

  8. Step 8

    Step 8

tie them up using one of the fabric strips

  9. Step 9

    Step 9

so it sould look something like that

  10. Step 10

    Step 10

if your a bit confused heres picture diagrams

the orange lines is where you cut with your scissors
the red = is where you rip

when you cut your t-shirt, you cut front and back at together

  11. Step 11

    Step 11

what do I mean about tearing

so here is the cut you have done with your scissors

  12. Step 12

    Step 12

get hold of both ends and pull
when you are pulling you should tear yout t-shirt in the same direction of the red lines (in setp 11)

due to the seam on the other side of the t-shirt, you will have to cut it off

(when tearing, make sure you tear both front and back of the t-shirt together)

  13. Step 13

    Step 13

You should get something like this.... but a bit more realistic ..

  14. Step 14

    Step 14

you can still see the seams
    so use left over farbric
get all the seams together and wrap around the seams (so it looks like step 8)
and do the same with the other :)
