You Will Need

Step 1Draw and cut out a heart shape from the red T shirt.

Step 2Lay the heart on the wrong side of the shirt in the orientation and direction you want it to appear on the right side.

Step 3Sew with a straight stitch. I had to use a ball point needle because this shirt was pain-in-the-butt delicate for some reason.

Step 4Flip the shirt right side out and mark where you want your strips to be cut. Cut in straight lines across the fabric of the front side of the shirt.

Step 5Stretch the strips a bit. Don't be too rough, but I guess it depends on how big your chest is. My strips are still fairly snug with the shirt on, so I was a bit more rough with them.

Step 6After removing every other strip, this is what mine looks like.
