  1. Step 1

    Step 1

Print out your design on to transfer paper, remember that it has to be reversed or the transfer wont work. Cut two strips of white ribbon.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

Iron the transfer on to the labels. Make sure to iron it a few times so that all of the print transfers properly.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

Carefully peel back the transfer to reveal the design on the label.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

Fold over, so that the design is on the inside, and sew along the edge.

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

Snip off any excess ribbon and fold inside out. You're label is now ready to be sewn in to your creations.

Thanks for the tute! I wish I had seen this earlier! These tags would be great on the checkbook cover that I made my sister and the fleece & applique scarves that I made my cousins. I guess there's always next year :)

instead of using iron on transfer paper, print out laser(or copy machine) and use a xylyne(AD) marker to rub on the back. Your ribbon will still be soft, and have the detailed lettering.

I loved this idea and tried it. Now I have a transfer papaer jam and I don't know what to do about it. Have my printer repaired? Get a new printer? This sucks big time.
