I always wanted to make one of these, so when I was going through my tool box and came across some hardware for hanging pictures, I found the little ring with a screw on the end to finally make one. I made mine about 80 inches long, not including the dowel. I used my woodburner to add some character, then I sanded and varnished it, screwed on the little ring thingy and added the ribbon with jump rings. I used glue to hold the ribbon in place.
I want to make another one that's longer and with wider ribbon when I find the
color(s) (rainbow) I want. It was easy to make and fun to play with.
