Got some comfy but ugly shoes? No worries, just paint them!
I've had these camo shoes since I was about 12, (I went through and "I want all things camo phase" way back when) and now that I've changed my style a bit, they don't flow with my wardrobe, but still fit. This is a very serious problem because they're super comfy. So, in comes the fabric paint I bought for nothing in particular, a painting sponge, and some tape, and viola! Shoes that I can now wear in public.

Step 1First, tape around the sole of your shoes and anything else you don't want to paint. My shoes have buckles and studs so that was kind of a pain, but I found that I accidentally got paint on one of the studs, and I wiped it off right then and it didn't leave a mark.
So, if it's metal and you wipe it off immediately then it will probably come off. -
Step 2Now, squirt your paint onto your paper plate and begin to paint your shoes.
Make sure your get in all the crevices around the sole.
With the paint I used it only took one coat, depending on the color of your paint and shoes it may take more. -
Step 3Let them dry for a while I let mine dry over night. And then you have an awesome pair of shoes you're not ashamed to wear in public.
