Revamped Chair

  • Completed Project: Revamped Chair Picture #1

Fix that boring old chair :]

I eventually grew tired of a swivel chair in my room. I decided to make it fresh with a new pattern :D

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

This is the plain white chair I started with. Pick out any chair that you want to fix up and select a fabric to match it.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

Begin by hot gluing stuffing (I used an old fleece blanket) to the chair to create a makeshift cushion. Mine didn't fit perfectly so I used some excess material for some in the back. If you use a blanket and fold it, glue every layer together.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

Next, obtain some enough fabric (I used a towel for mine). Cut enough so that there is some to cover the seat and about 2 inches to fold underneath. Fold over the extra material under the bottom and hot glue the fabric to the bottom of the seat. Make sure you pull the material tight!

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

Now that the seat is done, move on to the top. Cut your fabric so that it has enough to cover the back. Hot glue the top portion and bottom portion using the fabric. This should leave you with extra material on the left and right side. I tied this material using hair ties and hot glued the wraps to the back.

  5. Step 5

Now you're done! Enjoy your "new" chair!
