Can't pass up a sale but it doesn't fit? Make it your own!
 <  Image 1 of 4  >

I found a dress on sale at New York and Company but it was several, several sizes too big for me (picture 4), but it had a great swiss dot fabric and so I knew that I could fix it and make it even better.

It really took awhile to find what I wanted the dress to look like, as you can see, it doesn't look like the original. I had to do a lot of seam ripping and cutting, as well as some extra hand sewing, but it's definitely a favorite.

I'm considering if I should dye it another color, thoughts?

If you really want to dye it, try dip dyeing, very in this season.

The white looks very pretty on you. If you want to spice it up a bit though try just dipping the bottom in the dye. (=

No need to dye! It is gorgeous. but if you want to give it a punk like flair you could put and iron on on theskirt part to add some flair! :)

It's gorgeous, you did a great job of tailoring it. I think you suit the colour of it, so no need to dye it.
