Record Mono Prints

Vinyl Records As Art
I did this mono printing project a few years ago when I was going through a crazy make-everything-out-of-vinyl-records-from-jewelery-to-paintings-phase. I gave the records a light coat of black acrylic paint and added a few random silver splatters. I then laid down pieces of vellum over the records and peeled them off. The result is the print you see in the picture.

Recently I was going through a folder of past artwork and came across the prints. I cut them apart and attached them to a sheet of black foam core. Lastly, I added the pieces of broken record to the corner to balance it out.
