Little black dress
 <  Image 1 of 2  >

My best friend's mom gave me this dress because it was too small for her. I really liked it to begin with, but I felt like I could do something more to it.

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

As you can see, it had the big glittery wrap around thing on the shoulders, and that had to go.

So I carefully cut off that.

  2. Step 2

Once I had that off, I cut off the strings that held the dress up.

  3. Step 3

Then I drew a line creating a deep v-neck into the dress and cut along that, then pinned back the extra fabric.

  4. Step 4

Once I had that, I made the back of the dress into a straight line...

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

    And whalla!

you should use the glittery wrap thing as a belt/cummerbund on your dress. It would look great.

Tas is right, if you cut the glitterly bit into shape it could make a nice belt, for either the dress or for some other peice of clothing. Very nice dress though
