  1. Step 1

    Step 1

    read my felting guide first
    (once they approve the publishing)

    so step one:
    get cho shizz togetha!

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

okay well you should kinda know what your doing if you've read my felting how-to

now just figure out what shape/object you want your brooch to be =]

usually i just look through mags, comic books, or just make things that i saw at a store
or just start making a random colorful abstract shape
it doesnt have to be perfect or make any sense

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

    once youve found your inspiration
    make it!

the smaller and stiffer the better
    lol

and you can always sew beads into it, add glitter, threads, whatever
    be imaginative!

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

finally just add the brooch backing by sewing it on the back of your little creation

or just use a safety pin to stick it to things
    :D

<- made these for my sister

Do you use styrofoam? I use a soft squishy foam like you would use for stuffing coaches or something. How long do your needles last? Does the styrofoam shed as you work with it? Sorry..not a lot of felters around for me to ask questions!
